New Balance Girls Power Rankings Week 3

This was supposed to be the week!  All the top teams, one race. Lexington V. Billerica. The top runners across the Northeast! Well, unfortunately Mother Nature had other ideas. Still, there’s a lot to be excited about. However, due to the lack of major races we don’t see too much movement in our rankings:

Newton North moves up one spot after another strong outing against Braintree. The Tigers prevailed 22-38 and move into fourth. Etsy Dudnik got the win in 18:50 over Braintree’s Chloe Dinh. North’s Maggie Abely was third in 19:06. Braintree ran well and debut on our list at #19. The run the gauntlet every year in the Bay State Conference, and look like they could be a Wild Card to make the Meet of Champs out of Division 1.

Winchester drops a spot as it looks like they may be dealing with some injuries, similar to some top teams on our boy’s rankings. They topped a strong Arlington team but had a few top runners in the JV race. Hopefully they’re just resting. Winchester is scheduled to compete at the Deven’s Pre Meet of Champions next weekend.

This weekend is chock full of action with the Bay State Invitational, the Frank Kelley Invitational, and Battle of the Border. #2 Billerica is scheduled to race Bay State as well as both Flagg sisters from Whitinsville Christian. The race also features 2024 Division 3 State Champion Cameron Davis of Oxford. Davis clocked a 19:11 for 5K at an open race back in August.
