#12 Longmeadow
In 2025 Longmeadow had a heartbreaking loss to Boston Latin Academy at the Meet of Champions, falling by one point. Fortunately for them, and bad news for the rest of D2, they return their #2-5 runners from that meet. All of whom were just sophomores at the time.
CJ Deliso returns after being a strong 1B option last season for Longmeadow. He was 12th overall last year at the MOC and is one of the top overall returnees. He followed up his XC season with a 9:31 Two Mile on the track, making him a strong individual contender this fall. Jacob Abebe could be the 1B to Deliso’s 1A this season. He was 19th at D2 last season in 16:44. He excelled on the tack as well, running 1:59 and 4:32.
Aidan Kretschmar and Finn O’Connor return after finishing as their fourth and fifth runners at the MOC last year. They boast PRs of 16:37 and 16:59 from the fast course at the Twilight Meet. They’ll look to duplicate those times on some of the more challenging courses for 2026. Ryan Katsafanas could fill their fifth position. He ran a PR of 17:07 at Wrentham, but arguably his best performance came at the treacherous Northfield Mountain, where he ran 17:54. Also watch out for freshmen Oliver Sacco who had a strong season on the track.
