Another busy weekend of track & field at Reggie Lewis.
The annual MSTCA State Coaches Invitational will occupy the Roxbury venue for the throngs of participants expected to compete. The Large School meet will be held on Saturday, while the Small School meet is scheduled for Sunday. Both competitions begin at 10 a.m.
This weekend’s meets are always extra special as it’s the time of year that the MSTCA recognizes its latest inductees into its’ Hall of Fame. The 2023 class, which will be honored at Sunday’s Small School meet, includes Swampscott’s Billy Harrington (’86 grad, x-c & distance), Norwell’s Alicia Poro (’90 grad, jumps, sprints & hurdles), Seekonk Heather Grimshaw (’88 grad, middle distance), St. John’s Prep’s John Russell (’93 grad, x-c & distance) and Hopkinton’s Christine Moschella (‘2001 grad, sprints & jumps).
