Tri Valley League Championships
NORTON- Hopkinton earned the boys’ team title on Tuesday with a 138-86 victory over runner-up Holliston. In the girls’ meet, Westwood survived a close one, defeating runner-up Hopkinton, 97-87.5. Right behind in third was Holliston with 87 points.
In the boys’ meet, Norton’s Camden Lemar was a winner in the 400-meter run with a time of 50.94 seconds.
Top hurdler Sean Golemblewski of Hopkinton clocked 14.51 to take the 110 HH. Holliston was timed in a solid 43.82 to capture the 4x100m relay.
Norton’s speedy duo of Ali Murphy and Jillian Strynar went 1-2 in the 100m and 200m dashes in the girls’ meet. Murphy blazed to a winning 12.57 in the short dash with Strynar crossing the line at 12.71. For the 200m. Murphy broke the tape at 25.69 to her teammate’s 26.47 effort.
In a down-to-the-wire affair, Westwood Caroline Kelleher broke the tape in the 400m hurdles. Less than a second separated the top three with Medfield’s Audrey Callahan (second, 1:08.88) and Norton’s Zoe Santos (third, 1:08.90) taking the next two spots.
Dedham’s Catherine Sargent twice made the top of the podium by taking the shot (40-3.5) and the discus (122-2).

Bay State Conference Championships
BRAINTREE – The Newton North boys and Wellesley girls ran away with the team titles at Wednesday’s meet. The Tigers amassed 149 points for their plaque, comfortably ahead of second-place Brookline. which scored 87. In the girls’ competition, the Red Raiders were a 142.5-123.5 winner over Newton North.
Newton North’s Everton Muir climbed to No. 1 in the state rankings by copping the 100m dash with a best of 10.62. Teammate Quincy Scott took the gold in the 400m at 50.20. The Tigers scored 30 of their points by sweeping the relays with times of 43.65 for the 4x100m, 3:27.84 for the 4x400m and 8:07.83 for the 4x800m.
Framingham’s Sam Burgess coasted to a win in the two mile where he was timed in 9:17.08.
For the girls’ Annie Comella of Wellesley was a double-winner, leaping to a triumphant 18 feet, 6 inches in the long jump and clocking a fast 25.59 for the 200m.
Brookline’s Camille Jordan once again went sub-5 for the mile, claiming top honors with a time of 4:57.64.
Newton North shot-putter Skye Petrie-Cameron, who is ranked No. 4 in the state, won her specialty with a heave of 39-7.

Dual County League Championships
WESTON – Alex Landry of Acton Boxborough took care of the sprinting events on the boys’ side of Wednesday’s meet. Landry edged teammate Leonid Buriak in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.99 seconds to Buriak’s 11.01 effort. The AB senior came back and took the 200m in 22.04. Again, Buriak took second overall with the junior crossing the line at 22.42. Landry and Buriak also ran legs on the school’s first-place 4x100m squad (43.39).
Waltham’s Brendan Wilder continues to impress in the distance events with victories in the mile and two mile. Wilder led eight runners under 4:30 in the mile with a winning time of 4:20.41. Concord Carlisle’s Henry Ritchie was second at 4:22.98. For the deuce, Wilder was timed in 9:24.2, finishing six seconds ahead of Westford Academy’s Paul Bergeron (second. 9:30.31).
In the girls’ meet, Cambridge Rindge & Latin’s Kylee Bernard blazed to a triumphant 25.25 in the 200m, taking the crown by more than a second over Lincoln Sudbury’s Gabrielle Pierre ( second, 26.50).
Newton South’s middle distance ace Amelia Everett proved she has some wheels by taking the 400m under windy conditions with a time of 57.17. She also ran the anchor leg on the Lions’ first-place 4x800m team (9:44.83).
Acton Boxborough’s Elizabeth Latham was a convincing victor in the mile with a 5:06.93 clocking. She took the title by nearly 100 meters. In the 2M, Cambridge & Latin’s Aoife Shovlin was well ahead of the field, breaking the tape in a PR of 11:07.38.
Concord Carlisle’s Charlotte DiRocco cleared 5-4 to win the high jump.

Cape Ann League Championships

NEWBURYPORT-North Reading earned the girls’ team title on Saturday May 20 scoring 184 points. Newburyport was second with 129 points and Triton was third with 93 points. The boys’ meet was much closer with Newburyport taking the win with 121 points with Amesbury (109.5), Pentucket (96) and North Reading (88) not far behind.
In the girls’ meet, Madison Vant of North Reading was named Athlete of the Meet with a triple win in the Javelin Throw (118’9″), Long Jump (18′ 2.5″) and Triple Jump (35′ 6″) scoring 30 points for the Hornets. North Reading earned other first place victories from Ava McIntyre in the 100 Meters (12.37), Giuliana Ligor in the 400 Meters (58.41) and 400 Meter Hurdles (1:03.79), Hayden MacLellan in the Pole Vault (10′ 0″), Abigail Lilley in the Discus Throw (119′ 7″) and with a victory in the 4×100 Meter Relay (50.22)
Triton’s Aleyo Amasa-Titus won the 200 Meters (27.04) while Wilson Teagan took the 100 Meter Hurdles (15.73). Triton also won the 4×800 Meter Relay (10:34.83). Newburyport swept the distance events with Annabel Murray in the 800 Meters (2:24.32), Abby Kelly in the One Mile (5:23.36), and Hailey LaRosa in the Two Mile (11:09.89). Newburyport also won the 4×400 Meter Relay (4:10.80).
Pentucket’s Wynter Smith won the High Jump (5’3″) as teammate Riley Bucco took the Shot Put (33’2″).
In the boys’ meet Nathan Miller of North Reading won Athlete of the Meet with a triple victory in the 100 Meters (10.85), 200 Meters (22.54) and the Long Jump (20′ 9.5″). Teammate Nico Johnson won the Pole Vault (11′ 0″)
Newburyport’s Bradford Duchesne was a double winner in the distance events taking the One Mile (4:27.16) and the Two Mile (9:37.38). Fellow Clippers Ean Hynes won the 110 Meter Hurdles (15.35) and Ethan Downs won the 800 Meters (2:01.72)
Ipswich’s Keith Townsend was also a double winner taking the 400 Meter Hurdles (56.97) and High Jump (6′ 2″)
Triton’s Parker Burns won the Triple Jump (43′ 1.5″), and Lynnfield’s Chase Goldberg won the Javelin Throw (152′ 4″).
In the relays Pentucket won the 4×100 Meter Relay (44.76), while Amesbury won the 4×400 Meter Relay (3:32.43) and 4×800 Meter Relay (8:31.97)
Amesbury’s Michael Sanchez won the 400 Meters (50.41), and Aiden Donovan won the Shot Put (52′ .5″) and Discus Throw (146′ 1″).
