#11 Bishop Feehan
After a 10th place finish at last year’s meet of champions, Bishop Feehan brings back five of their top seven and will look to challenge some of Division One’s elite. Up front, #1 runner Sophie Shaw returns. She holds a PR of 18:16 and was 21st at the Meet of Champions. She was sixth at D1C and should be a contender for top at the MOC this year.
The group behind her is where things get interesting for Bishop Feehan. They return eight more girls that have run under 21 minutes that could all contend for spots in the top seven. Noelle Salweirz, 20:18, Quinn Kotch, 20:19, and Grace McGahan, 20:25, have the potential to form a strong pack. If they can stick together and lower their times together, Bishop Feehan will prove dangerous.
Madeline Neary, 20:34, is slated as the #5 on paper, but she’ll have to work hard to hold onto that spot. Christina McCarthy was their #6 runner at the Meet of Champions and ran 20:57 at Fort Devins. She also ran at the Division 1C race giving her a leg up on experience. Watch out for Sophomore Amelia Burgess as well. She ran 20:43 last season as a freshmen.
