The Division 1C runner’s up last year, Reading, return five of their top seven from that squad. While they’re top runner from 2025 did graduate this spring, they were also down a man last fall. Finn Johnson-Houlihan shut things down around mid-October last season. At that point he had been in their top three, finishing sixth overall in the A race at the Bay State Invitational. After skipping indoors, he stormed back this outdoor season, leading the team in the 800m, Mile, and 2 Mile. His best of 9:25 for two miles puts him squarely in the list of top contenders this fall.
However, Andrew Princic returns as their top runner from last fall. He was third in the same race at the Bay State Invitational and was 11th overall at the D1C race. After falling to Oliver Ames by four points last year, Princic and fellow top returnee Max King will have revenge on their mind. King was their third man and 12th overall. Colin Herlihy was also top 25 that day, running 16:49 for 22nd overall, while Curran Healy and Declan Grant were their sixth and seventh runners. Both were just sophomores last year.
Given their crop of returning athletes, The Rockets have the tools to win back the Division and challenge for the Middlesex League title as well. They return against Burlington on 9/15.
