#6 Boston College High School
Boston College High School are entering perennial contender status. Despite graduating a sub nine two miler, they retain a full squad ready to make a run at the podium this fall.
Last year the Eagles looked as if they were ready to win it all, but where then dealt a tough blow when they lost Owen Geagan to injury midway through the season. However, he returned this spring and looked better than ever. We look forward to seeing what he can do this fall.
Geagan could contend as the front for this squad, but Colin Kurtz appears ready to take up the mantle as the Eagles top runner. He returns with a PR of 15:21 from Wrentham and has the track PRs to back it up. He should look to contend for top honors at the Meet of Champions.
Joseph Hayes and Theo Weiss are what makes this team dangerous. Even if Geagan needs time to acclimate to 5K and the trails, the two of them could be the strongest two and three runners in the state. Hayes was 32nd at the Meet of Champs last season as a sophomore and set PRs of 9:38 and 4:24 on the track. Weiss returns with a 16:02 best as well as running 16:07 at the Devins Pre Championship Race.
Logan Barry appears the be the lead for their fifth man. He returns with a PR of 16:44 and ran a best of 4:37 in the spring for the Mile. Barry is a strong fifth runner, but the eagles will need to get a few more runners under 17 minutes in their top seven this fall.
Projected Top 5:
Colin Kurtz 15:21
Joseph hayes 15:55
Theo Weiss 16:02
Owen Geagan 16:21
Logan Barry 16:44
