Preseason Cross Country Rankings Boys #9: Groton Dunstable

#9 Groton-Dunstable

In 2025 Groton Dunstable was fourth in Division 2 at the Meet of Champions. This fall they’ll have five runners from that team that competed at Fort Devins in November.

Up front they have one of the best duos across the state in Andrew Kosiba and Greyson Duane. Both athletes return for their senior season. Kosiba is the top overall returner from last year’s championship where he was fourth in 16:08. Duane was 11th overall in 16:29. Could we see a 1-2 finish? There’s a few runners that’ll have their own say on the matter, but two in the top five is a sure bet. Micah Pierantozzi was a strong third man last year and should be even better in 2026. He was 23rd last year and will have his eyes set on top 15.

Groton Dunstable’s biggest strength will be the inter-team competition. Someone like Ashvik Yadav has the potential to make a big move this year after running 4:29 this spring. He should be able to improve upon his 16:44 PR. Then there’s the sophomores. Ashton Duane was in their top seven as a freshman last year. Cameron Duane and Mason Bearer had strong campaigns as well and followed them up with solid seasons on the track. All three should round out the top seven.

Projected Top 5:

Andrew Kosiba 15:46

Greyson Duane 16:08

Micah Pierantozzi 16:28

Ashvik Yadav 16:44

Ashton Duane 16:59
