Preseason Cross Country Rankings Girls #18: Canton

#18 Canton

Canton has the benefit of being led by one of 2026’s top rising stars. Lauren Raffetto was already poised to be one of the state’s top returners after finishing fifth last year at the Meet of Champions, but after the spring season she had, she has the best shot of upsetting a repeat from the Flagg sisters. So, we know she’ll score low for the Bull Dogs, but what comes next? Or who comes next?

Canton’s projected #2 runner Adileh Azar is also poised to make a big jump this fall. She finished 21st at Meet of Champions last year in 19:49, making her one of the top returners. She followed that with a phenomenal spring running 2:16, 5:11, and 11:14. Isabella Holland returns after her first XC season as a junior last year. She was 24th at the Division 2A race over the challenging Northfield Mountain Course. She ran her PR of 20:14 to finishing eighth at the Hockomock League Championships.

Canton has a few runners that could battle it out for their #4 and #5 runners. Elena Silva and Olivia Siddons return with PRS of 21:16 and 21:32. Not far off are Margot Swearingen and Natalie Hales, running 21:37, and 21:55, giving Canton a strong top seven with a lot of upside.
