Preseason Boys #5: Brookline

5. Brookline

Now we come to the reigning Division 1 Champions going on three years now.  Brookline comes in with what should be the best 1-2 Punch in the state. Liam Hartman and Theodore Butty will not only battle for Brookline’s top spot but the number one spot in the state as well. Hartman is their top returner from the Meet of Champions where he was 16th overall. Butty looked strong this outdoor season running 9:05 to win the D1 meet as well as running on their runner up DMR at New Balance Nationals this June.

Brookline graduated a lot of their 2024 Championship team, but it should come as no surprise they have a plethora of depth to fall back on. They have seven runners coming back that have run under 17 Minutes. Leading the chase pack will be Aidan Vandor and Eric Bardon. They will have plenty of company as Brookline looks to repeat as Champions for an incredible fourth time.

Johnny Xu and Ibrahim Abdel-Dayem both had strong seasons on the track running 4:35 and 4:37. Aydin Armstrong was not far behind running 4:40. At this point it’s hard to say who will make up the Warriors varsity squad. Whoever does line up for them come November will surely be ready to challenge for another Title.
