It was yet another eventful season for our MA track & field athletes. Throughout the summer months, Bay State Running will feature some of our most memorable performances during the outdoor campaign. Here we feature Lincoln Sudbury’s Gabrielle Pierre.
There are PRs. And then there are big-time PRs. That’s what Pierre experienced at the Division 1 Championships on May 24. In the triple jump, The Lincoln-Sudbury star not only broke the state record but the New England mark, too, with two-foot best of 43-feet even. Her effort came just three inches from earning a qualifier to the U.S. Olympic Team Trials. Pierre would go on to take individual honors at the Meet of Champions and then solidify the top spot on the podium at the New Balance Nationals.
