HOKA Athletes Of The Week: Vigo-Catala, Quarm, Tuxbury & Walter

Take your pick in this one. We could have chosen a plethora of athletes for our latest HOKA Athletes of the Week, especially considering that this past Saturday was the Meet of Champions. While we could have picked more, we narrowed it down to just four.

Congratulations to Haverhill’s Natanael Vigo-Catala, Methuen’s Lauren Quarm, Wellesley’s Charlotte Tuxbury and Brookline’s Cameron Walter for this week’s honor. Vigo-Catala was one of three double-winners among this group. He made it back-to-back titles in the 300-meter dash by breaking the tape in 34.32 seconds. The Georgetown-bound senior came back later with a memorable performance in the 4x400m relay (3:25.16), anchoring his teammates to the win with 48-second leg. Tuxbury clocked her third sub five-minute effort of the season in he mile with a victorious and season best time of 4:56.35. She earned gold again as a leg on the Raiders’ first-place 4x800m squad (9:27.74). Walter made it twice as nice, too. He was a winner in the 600m (1:21.13) and as a member of his school’s triumphant 4x800m team (8:02.60). Finally, we have Quarm. The gifted tenth-grader pulled off a big win in the 55m dash by breaking seven seconds with a time of 6.95.
