11. Oliver Ames
Oliver Ames returns four of the top seven from a team that won the Hockomock League Meet in an impressive score of 33. Up front they’re anchored by one of the best runners in the state. Landon Sarney comes in with a PR of 16:07 but had a massive outdoor season where he ran 9:15 for the two-mile. Expect a low number up front.
Behind him the Tigers are deep. Their next three runners come back between 16:27 to 16:40. All three ran their PRS at the League meet at Wrentham where strong pack running helped them earn the win. At that race they took spots 6-9, and two of those runners return, in Lawrence Dear and Douglas Smith. This fall they will hope to duplicate the same pack running that helped them shine in the postseason, as they also finished second at the Division 1C race.
On paper this team is already strong, but if they make the expected year over year improvements, they should be atop the Conference again and competing at the State Meet as well.
Projected Top 5:
Landon Sarney 16:07
Lawrence Dear 16:27
Douglas Smith 16:33
Devon McStowe 16:40
Jonah Sobieraj 17:24
