19. Amherst-Pelham Regional
Up next is Amherst Pelham. After graduation, the Hurricanes will rely on new and young talent to remain in the hunt in Division 2B. Their top two returning runners are both sophomores this season. Genevieve Dole and Marit McDonald had strong freshmen campaigns running 20:01 and 20:43 respectively. They ran stride for stride practically this outdoor season running 5:44 and 5:45 together.
Lily Pope is the top returning upperclassmen and was their seventh runner last season at 20:49. She’ll bring much needed experience after running at both the divisional meet and the Meet of Champions
In their efforts to repeat as Division 2A champs, they’ll get help from a mix of juniors, and seniors outside the top seven last season. If some of those runners can make a jump this season, the Hurricane’s should jump up this list as we head into the fall.
