Bay State Running was on site for Saturday’s MIAA Division 2 State Championships, held under cool conditions at the Wrentham Developmental Center. We had a chance to talk with all the individual victors in the three boys’ and three girls’ races (2A, 2B & 2C) along with the winning coaches and/or teams.

Congratulations to all our champions! For individuals, it was Marblehead’s Isaac Gross and Marri O’Connell (Div. 1A boys/girls), Nashoba’s Adam Balewicz and Caroline Collins (Division 1B boys/girls) and Manchester Essex’s Finn O’Hare and Whitinsville Christian’s Emily Flagg (Div. 1C boys/girls). In the team competitions, it was Walpole and Melrose (Div. 1A boys/girls), Danvers and Wakefield (Div. 1B boys/girls) and Groton Dunstable and Whitinsville Christian (Div. 1C boys/girls).
