Preseason Cross Country Rankings Boys #7: Natick

#8 Natick

Natick lost their top two runners from their team that finished runner-up last season to perennial champs Brookline. However, they return their next nine runners based off time. Callum Doyle and Declan Hava will take up the mantle left from John Bianchi and Freddie Van der Velden last season. The duo should combine for one the most potent combos in the state.

Doyle actually finished ahead of Van der Velden at the Meet of Champions, finishing in 13th in 16:10, making him the #5 returnee overall.  Hava was 25th overall in 16:19 and should be in the mix for top 10-15 this season.

Benjamin Gidelson was their fifth man last season, running an impressive 16:41 at Fort Devins to finish 51st. An improvement of even 10 seconds could pay dividends for Natick. His overall PR is 16:22 from Wrentham.

Dylan Cooke, 16:47, Kai Vickers-Richards,16:49, and Brady Collins, 16:58, should all vie for top seven this fall. Cooke and Vickers-Richards ran at the Meet of Champs and will have experience on their side. Watch out for Jonathan Pereira as well. He had a solid season on the track this spring and could carry that into this fall.

Natick enters 2026 as much more of an underdog than last fall which could aid them as they build toward November.

Projected Top 5:

Callum Doyle 15:50

Declan Hava 15:54

Benjamin Gidelson 16:22

Dylan Cooke 16:47

Kai Vickers-Richard 16:49
