#8 Wachusett
Wachusett was ninth in Division 1 last year and come in at eight on our preseason rankings. They also return their top four runners from 2025.
They have a very strong 1-2 punch with Naomi Witt and Annika Kindorf. Witt was consistently one of the best runners in the state last season. She holds a PR of 18:23 and was 12th overall at the Meet of Champions, also cracking 19 minutes at Fort Devins. Annika Kindorf has also broken 19, running 18:46, making her one of the fastest #2 runners in the state.
Amelia Gracey and Kailyn Brenn return after running as Wachusett’s #3 and 4 runners last year. Sarah Martin, Emily O’Connor, and Isabella Abdella should fill out the top seven and battle for that fifth position. Martin has the fastest PR, 20:26, and O’Connor and Abdella both ran at the Divisional Meet and Meet of Champions. If this whole group can work together and a get a few of them under 20, they’ll be very strong in November.
With such a strong core coming back, look for Wachusett to ascend the rankings and 2025 and battle for a top five position in the state.
