Along with the Catholic Memorial Invitational, two other major cross-country invitationals will take place on Saturday, both challenging runners with demanding courses.
The annual Dick Atkinson Invitational will be held at Stanley Park in Westfield. The four-race meet features junior varsity and varsity competition and takes place at the same venue that will host the upcoming MIAA Division 3 Championships.
Meanwhile, the 68th annual Wachusett XC Invitational will bring teams together on the wide-open, hilly terrain near Wachusett Regional High School. This longstanding meet features eight races across four divisions – freshmen, junior varsity, varsity and middle school.
