Memorable Moments, 2025: Banner Day For Kyei-Aboagye At Meet Of Champions

It was yet another eventful season for our MA track & field athletes. Throughout the summer months, Bay State Running will feature some of our most memorable performances during the outdoor campaign. Here we feature Nina Kyei-Aboagye.

When it came to the sprints this season, there was no one better than Kyei-Aboagye. The Sharon junior was lights out against her MA rivals in the 100-meter dash and, except for a loss to Dennis Yarmouth’s Breanna Braham at the South Shore Invitational and Warrior Invitational, was nearly the unbeaten in the 200m, too. It all came together on June 5 at the Meet of Champions. Kyei-Aboagye avenged her earlier losses to Braham in the half-lapper by defending her crown with a new state record of 23.28 seconds. Two days later, she was at the top of the podium again with a victory in the 100m with a near best of 11.62, a time she would improve on by two hundredths of a second at the New Balance Nationals in mid June.
