Three days, five meets, 10 team champions.
That’s what it’s all about this weekend at the Reggie Lewis Track & Athletic Center. Teams statewide will all be vacating the Roxbury venue for the 56th annual James Kalperis Indoor State Relays. In order, Division 1 squads will compete on Friday night, Div. 2 and Div. 3 will have their meets on Saturday and Div. 4 and Div. 5 will battle for bragging rights on Sunday.
The State Relays have often been called a TRUE state championship by coaches, due to the fact that it involves several team members to come out on top. And, true to form, the meets have often provided a glimpse of what to expect when teams from each divisions meet again for the division state championships from Feb. 12-15.
