Vacation’s over!
Well, not really. But let’s be serious, it essentially is with the month of August at the midway point.
What does that mean?
Not only does it signify another school year is right around the corner, but it also means that our fleet-footed athletes will be christening a new cross-country season, one we expect will be just like the rest – ultra competitive with some familiar faces and perhaps a few new ones leading the charge on the up-and-down terrain.
The first official day of practice is this Monday with the competition kicking off early on Sept. 7 with the MSTCA XC Relays at Highland Park and the Vineyard Invitational on Martha’s Vineyard. Below we list a complete schedule with MSTCA and MIAA events as well as some popular out-of-state meets like the Ocean State Invitational in Warwick, R.I., and Wickham Park Invitational in Manchester, Conn., on Sept. 28 and the Manhattan Invitational at historic Van Cortlandt Park on Oct. 13. Other important dates include the MIAA Division Championships on Nov. 9, and the Meet of Champions on Nov. 16.
