BSR To Preview Saturday’s MIAA Meet Of Champions

And now it all comes down to this weekend.

All the league meets and championships are finished, there’s no more invitationals on the slate and this past weekend the divisional state championships took place, checking off another important meet during two-plus months on the cross-country trails.

What’s next? For the qualifying teams and individuals, it’s a date at Fort Devens for Saturday’s MIAA Meet of Champions. It’s the final meet for most this season and for others it’s the last competition before a postseason that will feature meets like the Foot Locker Northeast Regionals here at Franklin Park or the Nike Northeast Regionals at Wappinger Falls in New York.

As we customarily do, Bay State Running will preview all the races this weekend in Division 1, 2 & 3. We’ll do our best to let you know the teams and individuals to watch on Saturday. We have our share of returning champions that will looking to strike it rich once again and a host of others with hopes of making the MOC a special one, too. The same could be said for the top teams that will be ready to battle with their rivals at Fort Devens.

It should be exciting.
