Expect the fields to be strong as teams and athletes head down to Fort Devens this weekend.
The five-kilometer, two-loop course will play host to the Bay State Invitational on Saturday, which will be the one and only opportunity that runners will get a chance test their mettle on the site of next month’s Meet of Champions.
Once we receive the entries, will begin our previews of the top bpys and girls that are scheduled to answer the gun in the six varsity races. The meet starts at 10 a.m., with the Junior Varsity boys. The Varsity races will take place between 10:30 and 11:40 a.m., followed by a pair of Varsity girls and middle school races.
According to meet director and Woburn coach James Fletcher, the meet will not only features MA harriers but Connecticut as well after the recent cancellation of their annual Wickham Park Invitational.
