The finals of the 1,500-meter run at this weekend’s USATF U20 Track & Field Championships will feature two of our own on the starting line.
Advancing to Sunday’s race (9:12 p.m. EST) at Oregon’s Hayward Field were Northbridge’s Marcus Reilly and Brian Gamble of Brimmer & May. Both MA runners qualified by virtue of their placements in the first round on Friday night. Reilly, a third-place finisher in the mile at the New Balance Nationals last month, was second overall with a time of 3 minutes, 51.51 seconds. Gamble earned the final spot by finishing 12th in 3:53.74.
