Time Flies: Outdoor Season Creeping Up Fast

A much-needed break for most of our track & field athletes (and coaches, too!) is coming to a close.

The outdoor season will soon be kicking into gear.

The official first day of practice began on Monday with the Warrior Invitational on April 20 kicking off the competitive portion of the season.

Along with the other invitational and championship meets, Bay State Running will be hosting its inaugural BSR Mid-Season Classic, an event sponsored by Marathon Sports and HOKA. This meet will be held on Friday, April 21, at St. John’s Prep in Danvers, MA. It feature the 400m, 800m and mile. In addition to Massachusetts, the Mid-Season Classic is sanctioned for RI, CT and NH. The meet offers unlimited entries for schools with no qualifying standards required. For those that are also looking for something a little earlier and beyond the borders. there’s the 55th annual Knights of Columbus Four-Mile Relays at Conley Stadium in Providence, RI. Per usual, the K of C Relays will include a series of boys’ and girls’ 4xMile races, a Freshmen Mile, the Hammer Throw and a Special Olympics 4×400-meter relay. Registration closes on Monday.
