Preseason Girls #17: North Quincy

North Quincy had a young team last year that still managed to place ninth at the Division 1B race. After gaining championship experience, they return almost their entire roster for the 2025 season.
Preseason Boys #18: Arlington

That’s right. We have both the boys and girls from Arlington coming in at 18 on our list.
The boy’s team returns this season with a familiar face up front and a fresh group of Juniors looking to make a splash this year.
Preseason Girls #18: Arlington

The Spy Ponders return five of their top seven from a team last season that was third in the competitive Middlesex League. They’ll be led by Junior Nora Chan who has big shoes to fill after the graduation of Evie Lauzon.
Preseason Boys #19: Plymouth South

Plymouth South has won six straight Patriot League titles and appear poised to make it seven. Top returner Anthony Lyons will lead the way after finishing third in 16:10 at the Patriot League Championships last year.
Preseason Girls #19: Amherst Pelham Regional

Up next is Amherst Pelham. After graduation, the Hurricanes will rely on new and young talent to remain in the hunt in Division 2B.
Preseason Boys #20: Lowell

We start our list with the squad from Lowell. When you think of the Red Raiders, their excellent 4x800m relay last season may come to mind. However, they also return solid depth on the cross country course having seven runners coming back that have all run under 17:46.

The Girl’s Preseason list starts with The Bromfield School, a program steeped in history with great cross country and distance running.
