New Year, New Meet. Trials of Miles racing will be hosting a new meet at the Track at New Balance. The Nor’Easter Invitational features athletes from around New England, as well as some prominent track and field stars from the Bay State.

Indoor T&F Preview: Boys Mile and Two Mile

Looking at the top returners for the Mile and Two Mile from indoors last season doesn’t give a full picture of what to expect this season. Many of this season’s top runners ran significantly faster in Outdoor than they did for Indoors. For the Mile there are eleven runners returning that have cracked 4:20, and in the Two Mile, there are ten runners returning that have run under 9:30.

Middle distance is a relative term here. The 600m and 1000m offer challenges for runners we don’t often see race each other. You get 400m runners moving up in distance, and Milers moving down in distance. The three lap and five lap races turn into a meeting ground for runners of a variety of strengths and weaknesses.
