#8 Boys Natick tops #18 Newton North and #17 Walpole
Natick had their hands full yesterday, as they took on two of our top ranked teams. They defeated Newton North, 20-38, and Walpole, 20-40. However, it was Walpole’s Luke Zahurak that got the upset victory, as he defeated Natick’s John Bianchi, 15:53-15:56. Despite winning the Varsity C race at Bay State, this may be his most impressive win of the season. Newton North’s Lucas Allen was third overall in 16:16. Natick’s pack of Callum Doyle, Declan Hava, and Freddie Van der Velden were impressive as they secured the win against both teams, running between 16:30-31.

#7 Boys Reading defeats #3 Lexington, 18-37
Did the Rockets usurp the Minutemen? At least for the time being. There will certainly be speculation as Lexington was without top runner Patrick Noonan. However, that doesn’t take away from the Reading boy’s performance, as we know how good they are after their impressive win at Bay State.
Finn Johnson-Houlihan and Tim Connolly went 1-2 for the Rockets in 15:58 and 16:02 at Reading Town Forest. Rhys Beling was first for Lexington in 16:15. It was Andrew Princic, Max King, and Cameron Gigler that secured the win, as they went 4-6, running between 16:24 and 16:31. The regular season isn’t over, but the win here should secure the Middlesex League title for Reading.
