
The MSTCA Frank Kelley Invitational brought the heat — both in the air and out on the trails.
Sunny skies and temperatures in the 70s greeted the athletes and schools that converged at the Wrentham Developmental Center’s open fields for Saturday’s competition. The conditions helped produce a flurry of PRs and fast times across the 16 three-kilometer races contested.
Falmouth’s Silas Gartner recorded the fastest performance of the day, taking the Senior Small School race in 9 minutes, 7.95 seconds. On the girls’ side, Canton’s Lauren Raffetto ran the quickest overall time, capturing the Junior Small School race in 10:38.53.
In the Large School division, the Billerica girls showcased their depth, highlighted by 1-2 finishes in both the freshmen and junior races and runner-up and third-place efforts in the sophomore race.
