Week Two is in the books and the action continues to heat up. There was a lot of dual meets this past weekend and a handful of Invitationals.
Our top three teams remain unchanged, while Brookline moves up one spot based on what they’ve done now in dual meets and this past weekend. They almost won the Marshvegas classic with practically their JV team.
The team that did win, North Andover, continues to climb the rankings after proving their strength over 5K. Strong pack racing over the Euro Style course cements them as a team to watch.
The biggest leap came from Amherst-Pelham Regional, while starting the season in our top 20, they slipped off last week to make room for new teams. They stormed back this week winning the Southern Maine Invitational. Their win showed strength up front with Calvin Miller placing second overall, and a strong pack behind him.
Finally, we have Hopedale making their debut after starting the season as an honorable mention. This Saturday they won the Highland Invitational and move into the top 20.
Stay tuned as the action continues this season, as we have yet to see many of the top ranked teams truly tested. The next few weeks have some of the biggest invites of the season where we’ll get to see where a lot of teams stand.
