13. Hamilton-Wenham
Last year the Generals won Division 3 at the Meet of Champions with a team that was almost entirely underclassmen. Last fall they featured one of the state’s best duos in Grace Rich and Asa Labell. As just sophomores, they finished sixth and seventh at that meet and boast PRS of 18:34 and 18:50 for 5K. As two of the top returning runners, they’ll be chasing more than just the team title this fall.
Hamilton-Wenham also featured two eighth graders that had strong seasons last year. Anneliese Albers and Talia Labell ran 20:24 and 20:25 and come back with championship experience. With those two packs working together, Hamilton-Wenham should see some massive improvements this season. However, they’ll need to improve on the backend to hold of the competition around them. Nikhita Pillai was their sixth runner last season and competed at both the Divisional Meet and Meet of Champions.
