14. Weymouth
When a team graduates its top four runners from the previous season, the expectations the following year are typically low. That’s not the case with this Weymouth squad for 2025. After a phenomenal freshman season, Sonia Souto will look to lower her 19:33 5K PR and join the top ranks of runners in the state.
The Wildcats also return a solid pack of five that all ran under 21 minutes last season. Part of that chase pack will be Jessica Harding who was a member of Weymouth’s 4x800m relay that took the crown at the indoor Meet of Champions. Weymouth will need her to translate some of that track speed to the XC course as they’ll have their work cut out for them in the Bay State Conference. Last season they were third in a hotly contested championship meet that saw five points separate first to fourth place. Natalie McInnis and Mia Manfredi were top 40 at the meet last season and will bring necessary championship experience into the fall.
