18. Arlington
That’s right. We have both the boys and girls from Arlington coming in at 18 on our list.
The boy’s team returns this season with a familiar face up front and a fresh group of Juniors looking to make a splash this year. They will have a strong presence up front with Daichi Collins leading the way. Collins has a 15:46 PR and is coming off a strong outdoor season and will look to compete at the front this year. After that is where it gets interesting for Arlington.
Unlike some teams on this list, they rest of their top five have graduated. In their stead will be four juniors that have run between 16:42 and 17:29. Nathan Wilson is poised to make a solid jump this fall after a strong outdoor season where he ran 4:36. If he can close the gap and run alongside Owen Merrill, Arlington will have a strong 2-3 punch that could make them contenders in the Division 1B race. Most of these times were set on the fast Middlesex League Championship course. If the Spy Ponders can duplicate those times at Willard Field, they’ll be in good shape.
