Memorable Moments, Spring 2025: No Touching Warriors’ Aschkenasy At Meet Of Champions

It was yet another eventful season for our MA track & field athletes. Throughout the summer months, Bay State Running will feature some of our most memorable performances during the outdoor campaign. Here we feature Brookline’s Altamo Aschkenasy.

The final season of his high school career was indeed a memorable one for the Warrior senior, especially when it came championship time. Just a week after winning the 800-meter run and the mile as well as anchoring the 4x800m relay squad at the Division 1 Championships. Aschkenasy was even more impressive at the Meet of Champions. It was there he earned gold again in his specialties with PRs of 1:51.62 for the 800m and 4:08.31 for the mile, the latter a best by nine seconds! If that wasn’t enough, the Brookline standout nearly led his team to a victory in the 4x800m with an anchor leg of 1:52.2. The Warriors finished second in the race at 7:46.53, just .35 behind Lowell.
