BSR To Preview Outdoor T&F Season: Who Are The Athletes To Watch This Spring?

With the national championship meets all completed over the last two weekends, the indoor season has officially come to a close. It was indeed a record-breaking winter campaign that featured a plethora of highlights that included several state marks and a plethora of PRs.

So now were onto the outdoor season. Over the next few months, our athletes will be will be out on the tracks, out on the fields, doing their things. During indoor this year, the state-leaders in 10 of the 14 primary events topped what happened in 2024 on the boys’ side. For the girls, it was 12 of 14. Will it be similar for the outdoor season? Will the next four months produce just as many highlights and perhaps just as many state records as this winter? In total, we had six new state marks set on the indoor surface – Brockton’s Lucas Andrade in the boys’ 55-meter hurdles (7.22 seconds) and 60m HH (7.74), Natick’s Emmanuella Edozien in the girls’ 55m HH (7.96), Algonquin’s Miles Lipka in the boys’ pentathlon (4,021 points) and Westford Academy’s Jack Graffeo in the 3,000m (8:13.24) and 5,000m (14:06.49).

Over the next few weeks, we’ll preview some of our top athletes for the coming spring. Stay tuned!
