Events To Watch: The 1,000m feature Foot Locker finalist Silas Gartner of Falmouth. Gartner owns the No. 1 seed from his victory at a Cape and Islands league meet, a race he won by nearly 20 seconds. Looks for a time in that low 2:30 range for the talented junior, who has registered PRs of 8:35.40 for 3K and 4:14.71 for the mile this season. The next three seeds in this race are Dedham’s Levon Roussin (2:40.06) and Ludlow’s Logan Walsh (2:40.52) and Bedford’s William Protasowicki (2:40.64). Keep an eye on Walsh. He’s a 1:54 800m runner…We’re expecting a fast race in the 600m. The top seed is Bishop Stang’s Michael Veegh, with a season best and state No. 4 of 1:22.15. Not too far behind are Norton’s Sean Parham (1:23.13) and Newburyport’s Jalen Wise (1:23.17)…Top-seeded Pembroke will be looking to become the state’s second team under 1:30 in the 4x200m. The Titans have a best of 1:30.22. O’Bryant is at the two seed with a time of 1:32.78…The high jump could turn into a heated battle between the top two seeds with Old Rochester’s Braedon Christopher (6 feet, 5 inches) and Bedford’s Vineet Joseph (6-4).

Team Outlook: Weston, Pembroke and Middleboro appear to be the stronger teams in this meet with the Wildcats a slight favorite.
