While most of our MA athletes either competed at the MSTCA South Shore Invitational or took th week off to prepare for the upcoming divisional state championships, Newton South’s Amelia Everett traveled to Icahn Stadium on Randall Island in New York to compete against a strong 800-meter at Track Night NYC.
Everett proved to be the best of them all, Congratulations to the Lions’ senior, who is this week’s female recipient of the HOKA Female Athlete of the Week. The Stanford-bound runner won Saturday’s race with a season best of 2 minutes 7.94. Everett currently ranks No. 13 in the country with her latest effort.
